By booking or participating in any HydroChatt JetCar rental, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
HydroChatt ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates JetCar watercraft rentals on the Tennessee River in Chattanooga, Tennessee. These Terms of Service govern your use of our rental services, website at hydrochatt.com, and any related services we provide.
To operate a JetCar as a solo rider, you must:
Riders between 16 and 17 years of age may participate as passengers in a tandem ride with an instructor, with written parental or guardian consent. All participants must be capable of following safety instructions.
Reservations may be made online through our booking system, by phone, or in person. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. Prices in effect at the time of booking will be honored.

If HydroChatt cancels your reservation due to unsafe weather conditions, mechanical issues, or other circumstances within our control, you will receive a full refund or complimentary reschedule at your preference.
Rider safety is our top priority. We reserve the right to cancel or suspend operations at any time due to weather conditions including but not limited to lightning, high winds, heavy rain, fog, or flood conditions. We monitor forecasts closely and will contact you as early as possible if your reservation may be affected. Weather cancellations initiated by HydroChatt qualify for a full refund or free reschedule.
All participants must comply with the following at all times:
HydroChatt staff reserve the right to terminate a rental without refund if a rider violates safety rules, endangers themselves or others, or behaves in a disruptive or reckless manner.
Operating or riding on a watercraft involves inherent risks, including but not limited to collision, capsizing, drowning, and personal injury. By participating in HydroChatt activities, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume all such risks.
All participants — including operators and adult passengers — are required to sign a liability waiver before boarding any JetCar. The primary renter will complete the waiver during the booking process. Adult passengers will be provided a QR code upon arrival to complete their waiver digitally on their own device before the rental begins. No participant will be permitted to board until their waiver is signed and confirmed.
Minors must have a parent or legal guardian sign on their behalf. HydroChatt reserves the right to deny participation to any individual who refuses to sign the required waiver, without refund.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HydroChatt, its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services, including personal injury, property damage, or loss resulting from watercraft operation. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the rental in question.
You are responsible for any damage caused to HydroChatt equipment through negligent, reckless, or intentional misuse. Normal wear and damage from weather or water conditions is covered by HydroChatt. Damage assessments will be made by HydroChatt staff and you agree to pay for verified damage caused by your actions.
HydroChatt is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings including phones, cameras, wallets, or other items brought to our facility or taken on the water. We strongly recommend leaving valuables secured on shore or using waterproof protection.
HydroChatt staff may photograph or video participants during rentals for use in our marketing materials, website, and social media. By participating, you grant HydroChatt a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use such images or video. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify staff before your rental begins.
By providing your mobile phone number during the booking process, you consent to receive SMS text messages from HydroChatt. We use SMS messaging for the following purposes:
Message frequency varies depending on your booking activity. We do not send unsolicited marketing messages without your explicit consent.
Message and data rates may apply. Charges are determined by your mobile carrier and rate plan. HydroChatt is not responsible for any charges incurred from your carrier as a result of SMS communications.
To opt out of SMS messages at any time, reply STOP to any message from us. You will receive one final confirmation and no further messages will be sent. Reply START to re-enroll, or HELP for assistance. You may also opt out by contacting us directly at (423) 414-2373 or [email protected].
Carrier Disclaimer: Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of SMS messages is subject to effective transmission from your network operator. HydroChatt has no control over carrier routing, filtering, or delivery failures.
Age Restriction: SMS consent may only be provided by individuals 18 years of age or older. By providing your phone number and consenting to SMS communications, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Hamilton County, Tennessee.
HydroChatt reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
